We are seeking a high-energy, decisive Dispatch Supervisor to join the team at their Hemmant facility. This is a critical operational role with a confirmed tenure through to October 2026, providing long-term stability and consistent, full-time hours within a casual framework. As a pivotal member of the afternoon team, you will be the key link between the warehouse and the road, ensuring every load is , compliant, and dispatched on schedule.

The Role:
As the Dispatch Supervisor, you are the "engine room" of the daily operation. You won't just be watching the clock; you will be the primary point of contact responsible for coordinating multiple departments to ensure manufacturing, picking, and packing teams are tracking on time to meet strict loading windows.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operational Oversight: Actively monitoring other departments to ensure they meet required loading times and providing direction to keep the workflow moving.
  • Critical Problem Solving: Thinking quickly to source alternate drivers or transport in the event of unexpected changes like driver illness or vehicle breakdowns.
  • Dynamic Decision Making: Re-planning routes and resources on the fly, balancing urgency and customer requirements against cost to the business.
  • Compliance & Quality: Conducting rigorous quality assurance and load compliance checks (Load Restraint, MHU, and mass/dimension limits) before any vehicle leaves the site.
  • Driver Management: Supervising driver compliance, fitness for duty, and adherence to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and FSANZ food safety requirements.
  • Systems Management: Utilising TMS and WMS software for booking stock in/out, allocating stock to orders, and preparing delivery paperwork and invoicing.


About You
You are a logistics professional who thrives under pressure and enjoys the challenge of a busy dispatch dock. You can make sound decisions quickly, considering the impact on the customer, the business, and the team.

What you bring:

  • Experience: 2+ years in a similar Dispatch or Transport role within a 3PL or high-volume logistics environment.
  • Technical Savvy: Hands-on experience with systems for stock allocation, movements, and invoicing.
  • Safety First Mindset: A strong understanding of CoR principles, driver compliance / fatigue, vehicle compliance, load restraint, and NHVLR.
  • Transport & Access: You must have a valid driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle, as the Hemmant site is not easily accessible via public transport.
  • Availability: An immediate start is ideal; however, notice periods of up to two weeks will be considered for the right candidate.
